Latvian National Day in Luxembourg
Together with her Excellency. The Minister of Culture of Latvia, Ms Zaneta Jaunzeme,and the Honorary Consul of Latvia in Luxembourg, Mr Henri Diederich, the Latvian community celebrated last night their National Day in the Centre Convict.
Some 40 singers of all age travelled from Latvia to Luxembourg to celebrate this fabulous moments with their fellow citizens resident in Luxembourg.
Many young Latvians speak fluent Luxemburgish but have also managed to maintain their understanding of their native language thanks to dance, song and play of sometimes antique instruments.
The Latvian community of Luxembourg remain a beautiful inspiration for most of us; they have found a unique way of keeping their joyous spirit, heritage, traditions,culture and language alive through music and singing.
