Professionals' Evening and 5th Award of Excellence
A "Networking in the hospitality sector" evening is first and foremost a not-to-be-missed event that EHTL organizes every year to thank its many partners, who contribute to the school's success and reputation.
It's also an opportunity to welcome a guest speaker, Mr. Vincenzo Manzella, Marketing Director of Luxair, who talked about the challenges facing aviation in 2024.
It also marked the presentation of the Award of Excellence, now in its fifth year, to Thorsten Maraite, an EHTL alumnus now at the helm of the BütgenbacherHof, an East-Belgian address offering well-being and gastronomy in the midst of unspoiled nature.
On this February 27, 2024, the Soirée des professionnels du métier has taken on the air of a "Serata italiana".
Following the partnership signed in October 2023 with the Castel di Pietra cooking academy, the EHTL chose to honor the Puglia-Monti Dauni region (Italy). This was an opportunity to promote a little-known region, rich in natural beauty, picturesque villages and cultural heritage. And what about its gastronomy? Mamma mia! A fantastic buffet featuring regional products such as wines, cheeses and charcuterie, not forgetting the trio of pane, pizza and pasta, delighted all guests.
The warm ambience and exotic decor created for the occasion took participants on a journey to the south of Italy, and gave rise to one of EHTL's signature moments, for which we were heartily congratulated. Grazie mille for the wonderful collective dynamic, the invaluable contribution of our Italian partners and the support of the Camera di Commercio Italo-Lussemburghese.
