What is mywort.lu?

mywort.lu is a participatory online platform designed for local news and events in Luxembourg. Registered users can upload their own stories, photos or videos as individuals or on behalf of organisations. The service is free.

How is mywort.lu structured?

On the mywort.lu homepage, you can find the editor’s choices of the latest posts, as well as recently uploaded news and events. Moreover, every location in the country has its own mywort.lu page. There is also the possibility to create a page for an association under ‘Organisation.’ On these pages, you can find all the news and events that have been uploaded for a specific location or on behalf of a particular organisation.

What does mywort.lu offer?

On mywort.lu, users can publish news for a wide range of municipal, organisational, cultural and club activities as well as for personal interests. In addition, an agenda of events across the whole of Luxembourg is available. To publish posts, registration is required.

What can I do when I discover inappropriate content?

Beneath each post, there is a line reading ‘Report inappropriate content’ (bottom right). By clicking on it, an e-mail opens automatically, by which you can report the post to mywort.lu’s administrator.

Registration and logging in

Do I need to register if I want to use mywort.lu?

You only need to register with mywort.lu if you want to publish content on the website. When you register, you open a user account via which you can then upload posts, either in your own name or on behalf of an organisation.

How do I register to mywort.lu?

You register to mywort.lu by creating a user account. To do this, simply click on ‘Log in’ in the green bar (top). You will be redirected to the log-in page, where you can click on "Create here." Then you simply follow the instructions. If you’ve already created a user account for the Digital Wort, you can log in with these credentials.

I don’t remember my password for mywort.lu. What do I do?

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can easily request a new password on the log-in page by clicking on "Forgot your password?"

What is a mywort.lu post?

A post is a piece of news (text, images, videos) you want to share or an event you would like to announce.

How can I create and publish a post on mywort.lu?

To upload a post, you must log in, or register if you do not yet have a user account (top right). Once you’re logged in, click on ‘Add post’ in the orange box with your profile (top right). By doing so, the input screen will pop up, where you can choose to publish either a piece of news or an event.

How can I edit or delete a post that I uploaded?

When you’re logged in, you can see the most recent posts you’ve uploaded in your orange profile box (top right). If you want to modify one of these posts, click on the pencil icon at the end of the post’s title. A window will pop up where you can see all of your posts in the right-hand column. There is also a field where you can search for a post by entering keywords. By hovering your mouse over a post, you can view, modify or delete it.

How can I find a particular post?

To find a post, simply enter one or more keywords in the search field on the homepage (top left).

How can I find information about my municipality?

If you’re looking for information about a particular municipality or location, enter a keyword in the search field on the homepage (top left).

What is an organisation on mywort.lu?

‘Organisations’ include clubs, associations, non-governmental organisations, charities, political parties, unions, schools, municipalities and ministries, among other things. Users who do not wish to publish posts in their own names can do so on behalf of an organisation they are a private member of or for which they work.

How can I create a page for an organisation?

To create a page for an organisation, you need to create a user account in your own name. Once you’re logged in, you can click on ‘Manage organisations’ in the orange profile box (bottom right) and simply follow the instructions.

How can I delete a page for an organisation that I created?

If you’re the creator of the page for the organisation, you are authorised to delete it. To do this, go to ‘Manage organisations’ and click on the page you want to delete. A grey bar with the button ‘Delete organisation’ will appear. By clicking on it, the organisation page will be deleted. The posts that have been published on behalf of the organisation will remain but be displayed with the name of the author. If the posts are also to be deleted, the author needs to log on to his or her private user account and delete the posts one by one.

How can I find a particular page for an organisation?

To find a particular page for an organisation, simply enter the name of the organisation or a keyword in the search field on the homepage (top left).
