(CS) With only mixed success of the Mersch outpost of the Institut National des langues (INL), the Ministry for National Education is not planning any further offices in the country.
With the INL's main base at the Boulevard de la Foire in Limpertsberg, the Mersch school only offers beginner's and intermediate classes (A1 to B2.1) in French, English and Luxembourgish.
Due to a larger demand in beginner's classes and the infrastructure of the building, students studying a language at the centre in Mersch will have to re-locate to Limpertsberg as they move up into a more proficient level.
With between 300 and 400 students every term since it opened in 2008, the school is having trouble filling the minimum number of students required, especially for specific classes including English.
The Mersch office will therefore not widen its offer, explained Minister Mady Delvaux-Stehres in a parliamentary question, adding that there were also no plans to open any further outposts of the INL at this time.
